Foster City Cleanup Success

At Pacific Beach Coalition, we believe that collective efforts have the power to create a significant impact. This is why we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to cleanup the shopping/business area at 100 Grand Lane in Foster City.

With the combined efforts of 26 dedicated volunteers, we were able to collect a total of 42 pounds of landfill waste and 3 pounds of recyclables, ensuring that these materials were properly disposed of or repurposed! During the cleanup, we also made some interesting discoveries, including a bag of clothing that will be washed and donated to those in need, as well as several large ceramic floor tiles. The crew also found a staggering 3,860 cigarette butts, highlighting the importance of raising awareness about the harmful effects of cigarette litter on our environment and the urgent need for responsible disposal.

In addition to our amazing volunteers, we would like to extend a special thank you to the Foster City IHOP for generously donating ice-cold lemonade to the entire team. Your support and contribution added an extra touch of refreshment and appreciation to the day.

We appreciate everyone who supports Pacific Beach Coalition’s work and educational programs. Thank you for helping us to protect our beautiful ocean and coastline by donating money, time, or both! Your dollars will go towards our ongoing educational efforts (such as the Naturalists program) and our beach cleanups and habitat restoration efforts along the coastal trail. Thank you so much for any contribution: big or small!
