About the Habitat Restoration in Linda Mar State Beach in Pacifica:
Site Captain: Michael Ayala, Freidel Cohen and Jeremy
Where to Meet: The closest parking is at the Community Center at the corner of Hwy 1 and Crespi Drive. Walk across Hwy 1 at the light and walk north (turn right) onto the coastal trail. Our team will be waiting for you just off the path by the big Willow stand.
*If attending the beach cleanup first, you can park in the main Linda Mar lot and walk a little further along the coastal trail to find us – site captains in the main Linda Mar lot will have parking passes for you.
Supplies: Volunteers need to bring their own favorite planting tools, a shovel or hoe, and reusable garden/work gloves.
Focus Area: Volunteers usually remove non-native and invasive plants between the dunes and bike path as well as the hillside below the highway.
Learn about our local habitat heroes such as the Coastal Buckwheat and the Acron Blue butterfly.
