Pillar Point Cleanup Hits the Mark on Earth Day!
On a beautiful sunny morning, over 50 dedicated volunteers gathered at Pillar Point to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up trash that threatens our planet to help the Earth breathe a little easier. Together, we collected a whopping 125 pounds of trash, 38 pounds of recyclables, and removed a staggering 704 cigarette butts from our coastal environment!
After our cleanup, some of us continued our Earth Day celebration by attending WhaleFest in Pacifica, where we learned more about how we can make a positive difference for our oceans and marine life. A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this successful event! Special thanks to Julio at the HarborMaster station for your assistance and support.
Mark your calendars for our next Pillar Point cleanup on May 25th at the new boat launch location. Let’s continue working together to keep our coastlines clean and healthy for all to enjoy!
