Went to Mussel Rock Beach today with my dog. Found about 100’+ feet of rope washed up and lots of small flat plastic pieces. I had to bundle up the rope like you see here to be able to haul it back up to the parking lot for disposal.

41 people from the fireworks booths showed up at 7:30 AM to help clean up debris from the previous evening’s fireworks at Rockaway Beach. We were blessed with sightings of whales and new out-of-town volunteers, comprising a party of 8 deaf adolescents visiting with their church pastor and 2 chaperone interpreters from Texas.
