Our fearless site Captains Jim & Ana are back from vacation and in action at Linda Mar! We also want to send a big warm welcome to Juliana Woehl, who volunteered to become a Jr. Site Captain at Linda Mar.

We had 65 volunteers take the the time to cleanup the Linda Mar Beach and surrounding parking lots. Our volunteers collected a whopping 130 lbs of trash, 15 lbs of recycling, and 5 lbs of compost. We found a “Groom to Be” velvet top hat in perfect condition (pictured above)! Our earth heroes also collected 2100 cigarette butts which we will send to TerraCycle for recycling; keeping all those toxic chemicals out of our ocean.

We want to send a special shout out to the groups who joined us this week; Tony Howard and Bay Area Apple stores, Zarita Johnson and First Republic Bank, Lisa Ott and Crystal Springs National Charity League. Also our returning volunteer friends all the way from San Jose!
