Volunteers Took Action to Make Trash Extinct during the 30th Anniversary of Coastal Cleanup Day
official press release from the California Coastal Commission.

A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers Who Helped Make Trash Extinct Despite Heavy Rain
The results are in: 1053 volunteers, 1002 lbs of trash, 265 lbs of recycles, and 603 lbs of greenwaste were kept from entering our ocean and waterways – an amazing achievement for 15 minutes of clear skies and a downpour!   Special thanks to Safeway (Linda Mar & Manor), Subway (Linda Mar & Manor), Papa Murphy’s, Colombo’s, Mazzetti’s and Tim Ward for their contributions, and to the Pacifica Tribune for highlighting the event.
