Calera Creek Park Habitat Restoration Schedule – 9am to 11am

Calera Creek Park Coastal Cleanup Day & Habitat Restoration Volunteer Event

Site Captains and Steering Committee Members: Jeff Moroso, Errol Hunter, Bob Battalio, Joshua Sha, Sandy Ayers, Jane A’Hearn, and Sarah Poon
Where to Meet: Reina Del Mar Avenue near Hiawatha Avenue (north side of creek)
Supplies: Volunteers are encouraged to bring buckets, work/gardening gloves, and hand gardening tools (shovels, rakes, etc.). Please wear long sleeves, pants and sturdy shoes. Sun protection and water in a reusable bottle are also recommended.
Focus Area: Volunteers will help clean up trash, remove non-native and invasive weeds, and support native planting efforts, all of which contribute to maintaining a healthy watershed, restoring native vegetation around the creek, and providing safe access for recreation.
