NEW: Beach Cleanup at Francis Beach w/ SurfRider => CANCELLED

NEW BEACH CLEANUP: Sunday January 22nd from 10AM to Noon

CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER

An exclusive partnership with:

About Francis Beach: Francis Beach is the southernmost beach in Half Moon Bay State Beach. Francis Beach has a nice grassy park with many picnic tables and barbecues on the bluff above the ocean. The Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail passes through the park and offers you a walking and biking opportunity in either direction. Swimming is dangerous here due to strong rip currents and cold ocean water. To get here just head west on Kelly Avenue from downtown Half Moon Bay and turn right after Balboa Boulevard. The parking lot and entrance station are directly ahead.

Where to meet: Kelly Ave and Balboa Blvd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019, also known as Kelly Beach.

Parking: There is a fee to park, however, when you get to the entrance station, let the park aide know that you are here for a beach clean-up and the park aide will give you a day pass for free.
Cleanup Areas: The parking lots and the beach.
Supplies: Volunteers will be provided with buckets and reusable gloves while supplies last. Because we are never sure of the weather, make sure to bring extra layers, a hat, sunblock, water, and snacks.
Restrooms: Yes.
Weather: In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled.

Special Regulations – Dogs: There are no dogs allowed on this beach, but dogs are OK on Coastal Trail if leashed. Please be responsible and pick up your dog waste.
